“What are you listening to these days?”

That might be one of my favorite conversation starters. I love talking about my favorite podcasts and discovering what my friends and colleagues are listening to. Did you know 42 million Americans listen to at least one podcast every week?

If you need a new podcast this summer, I’ve got several favorites I always recommend. Not only will these podcasts give you valuable blogging advice, they’re also incredibly entertaining and motivating.

1. Lead to Win

You knew this one was going to be on the list, didn’t you? Building an online audience is about expanding your influence, and that comes back to effective leadership. Our founder, Michael Hyatt delivers a phenomenal podcast each week with compelling insights about leadership, business, and productivity alongside his daughter and COO of Michael Hyatt & Company, Megan Hyatt Miller.

2. Smart Passive Income

Pat Flynn is one of the best servant-hearted teachers on the internet, and his interviews are phenomenal. Pat’s spent his career teaching people how to leverage the online market to create passive income that’s truly life-changing. If you need a business coach, but you can’t afford one, just listen to Pat’s podcast.

3. Building a StoryBrand

Blogging comes back to drawing your audience into a story, and Donald Miller is the teacher who draws those connections closely. If branding is a big question mark for you, or you just want to learn how to clarify your voice, this podcast is for you.

4. Entrepreneur On Fire

If inspiring interviews keep you going, you’ll never run out of content with EOFire. John Lee Dumas is energetic, asks great questions to a long list of guests, and consistently delivers a quality podcast each time.

5. Brand YOU Podcast

Mike Kim continues to be a shining example of what any Platform University student can accomplish, not only with his own platform success but with the content he teaches. You are your brand and that’s why this podcast is a valuable resource, particularly for platform-builders.

6. The Ray Edwards Show

We love Ray Edwards around here. He’s an expert copywriter, author, and entrepreneur. His show covers a lot of topics (with quite a few laughs) but always hits to the core of his message while sharing insightful reflections on business, copywriting, and the state of the digital marketing world.

7. The Unleash Your Blog Podcast

This one is an oldie, but a goodie. It’s my podcast with co-host Danny Coleman, and I still get emails asking when the next one comes out. Each episode is actually a recorded coaching call, so you’ll get insider advice about how you can build a better blog, grow your online business, and take your ideas to the next level. The website is no longer available, but you can still listen on iTunes or Stitcher.

8. How I Built This
